1 Samuel 10:23
And they ran and fetched him thence: and when he stood among the people, he was higher than any of the people from his shoulders and upward.
When Israel chose it’s first king, they chose the tallest warrior among them, they chose Saul. From his perspective he looked down on the people and proved to be a tragic exercise in leadership. When God chose Israel’s King, he chose a young man with the heart of a servant to lead His people. A definitive change in perspective can bring about great results. Choose the way of servanthood and let God elevate you. May we never take the perspective of looking down on others is my prayer.
