John 1:10, 11

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.

For a New Testament believer it’s unimaginable that people did not recognize who Jesus was, not even His own people. Consider the fact that they only had the Old Testament prophesies, they didn’t have cell phones and internet to speed along news of what Jesus was doing, and they were steeped in Jewish religion. We now have the New Testament account of Jesus ministry and all the communication the world could offer, we just need to believe. May we believe in and know Jesus is my prayer.
