John 21:17

He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep.

After answering yes to whether he loved Jesus or not a third time, Jesus directed Peter to tend His sheep. Tending has to do with caring for others. Jesus was trying to refocus Peter on what He cares about, meeting the needs of His sheep. Green pastures, pure water, peace, etc., that’s what Jesus wants for His sheep. May we lead others to the same peace we have is my prayer.
