1 Peter 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

The words God uses to describe His people blows my mind. We may have been born on the wrong side of town to poor parents in an obscure place but God calls us a royal priesthood. Not because we are all that but because He has chosen us, purchased us, and set us apart to show forth His virtues. May we live what God says about us is my prayer.
