John 15:6

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.

Living on a piece of property with a lot of trees provides a beautiful view and shade from the heat, but it does have it’s downside. Dead limbs clutter our landscape every time the wind blows a little bit, causing us to spend hours picking them up and burning them on our burn pile. If those branches had just stayed connected to the tree they wouldn’t have to be burned up and when we stay connected to Jesus we enjoy eternal life. Just a thought. May we enjoy the eternal life Jesus gives is my prayer.
