Leviticus 18:30

Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.

My Mom would say, “just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean you have to.” Many of the customs and traditions we stay to were originated from some man’s way of doing things, not God’s. Our desire should always be to please our Heavenly Father by living His way, not man’s. If we want to rise up to where God wants us to be, His standards must become ours. May we make God’s ways our’s is my prayer.
