Judges 6:1

Then the sons of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord gave them into the hands of Midian seven years.

My parents said if we took out the trash and made our beds we could get an allowance and if we didn’t there was punishment waiting. They were trying to instill in us the concept of obedience. The price for sin has been set in motion before we commit sins. All God has to do is lift His hand and let it happen. The reward for holy living is the joy of the Father and Heaven to come. May escape the wrath that is to come is my prayer.
