Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The Message Bible simply says, “What a person plants, he will harvest”. It would be crazy to think that we could plant some sunflower seeds and expect to harvest a corn crop, but that seems to be how we live our lives sometimes. If we never let someone pull in front of us in the stop and go traffic, why is it we think someone is going to let us pull in front of them when we need in. It’s called unintended consequences. Those actions that we take without consideration for others are the ones that mess up our harvest. When we live our lives with intentionality we reap the kind of harvest we really want. It’s so easy to overlook this powerful principle when we get caught up in this “all about me” way of life that is so popular. The sad truth is that your harvest depends on what you do today. If you want to reap love, show somebody some love. If you want to reap peace, be a peacemaker. If you want to reap joy, bring joy to someone’s life today. If you want to receive something, give something. It’s really that simple. May we be intentional farmers with our lives is my prayer.
