Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according it His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
I made a deal with my son when he was about ten years old that when he was getting close to old enough to drive that I would restore an old truck for him. When he was fourteen we purchased a 1967 Chevy p/u and began what turned into a four year project. When we purchased the truck it used oil and transmission fluid faster than you could put it in and almost nothing worked. It took a lot of work and even more money to get it back to original condition, but when it was finished it was better than when it was new. You could say that we renewed that old truck. Sometimes I get to feeling like a worn out old truck and when I do I’ve found that’s the time to get alone with God and allow the Holy Ghost to renew me. Some time in the Word, a season of prayer, and a fervent time of praise to God does wonders for a tired spirit. Take some time today to be alone with God and allow Him to renew your spirit. May the spirit of renewal sweep over us is my prayer.
