Colossians 2:18, 19 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, (19) And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

It seems just funny now but when I was a kid I remember one of those awful “B” movies about a headless monster terrorizing a small town. There was that moment where the music heightened and over the hill would come this headless body with its arms spread wide, methodically moving forward like a robot. Hilarious now, but it was scary then. What really scares me now is the thought of all the headless people wandering around today. People living their lives without the leadership of God. It’s why we have so much anger, addiction, abuse, immorality, and murder. The truth is, a body without a head does not know where to go or what to do. Christ must be the head of our lives or we are doomed to walk into a pit. May we all place Christ as the head of our lives is my prayer.
