2Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Several times in scripture we are told about impending persecution for God’s people. It is the godly lifestyle of Christianity that brings about such persecution and hatred from the world. It should be alarming to a Christian if we are not experiencing persecution. We’re called to be light in the darkness and when light invades darkness it illuminates what has separated people from God. This separation is what the persecution is all about. Satan convinces people that Christians live the way we do because we think we’re better than everyone else. The truth is that we are just trying to follow Christ, and just remember, Christ was persecuted and His followers will be also. May we all live in such a way that the light of the Gospel reaches into the darkness around us is my prayer.
