Matthew 16:15-18 He saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am? (16) And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The most powerful revelation we can have in our lives is the Lordship of Christ. Peter knew that Jesus was the Christ and Jesus said He could build His Church on that revelation. If Jesus can build His Church on that revelation, just think what He can do with our lives if we will allow Him to reveal Himself to us. He will reveal Himself not only as Lord and Saviour, but also as our Healer, our Provider, our Protector, and our Friend. The revelation of Christ is the most liberating thing that could happen to us. It releases us from worry and replaces our doubts with faith. It gives us purpose in life and sets the pathway for our life journey. If you do not know Christ as Lord and Saviour, call out to Him today and He will reveal Himself to you. He longs for you to know Him in His fullness and experience the joy that only He can bring. May we all follow Christ and allow Hm to reveal Himself to others through us is my prayer.
