1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

Do not put out or extinguish the Spirit. What an amazing Scripture; to think that a mere mortal can put out or extinguish the Spirit. You and I by our refusal to listen to and obey God’s voice can stop what God is trying to do. Of course, God will find another person whose willing to carry out His will but it is sad to think that we would not allow God to use us. We should be listening for God’s voice, watching for God’s guidance and making ourselves available for God to use us at all times. At any given moment God can put us in position to be used by Him and we must be ready. Our response to the moving of the Spirit must be, “Yes Lord, Yes”. May we present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God and allow Him to have His way in our lives is my prayer.
