Revelation 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
As a child I always hated hearing my Mother say the words, “You heard me”. That meant she knew that although I had heard the words, I was not responding correctly to those words and I was about to get in trouble. Time and again God uses the words, “hear what the Spirit saith” to try and get us to really listen to what He is saying. All around us today I see “Christians” using foul language, drinking alcohol, and partying like there’s no tomorrow. These are all things that are expected to be done by the world but they should not be the practices of the body of Christ. Just like my Mother, I can hear the Spirit saying, “You heard Me”. He is warning us of impending danger, destruction, and even judgement. God’s desire for his children is that we would live holy and righteous before Him, lighting the way for the world to escape the darkness that has enveloped them. May we all hear what the Spirit is saying to us is my prayer.
