Joshua 1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

What a way to go into battle; with the assurance of victory. This is what every athletic coach tries to convince  his team of, that they can’t lose. From 1985 to 1993 the Jeff Davis High School football team from Houston, Texas lost 80 games in a row. It’s obvious that on all those football teams they had some good athletes. I’m sure that they had the right equipment, facilities, and even trained coaches. The problem was that they had developed a losing attitude that caused them to lose game after game. It made the local news and was the talk of the town for quite some time as everyone hoped that those kids could finally win a game. The promise to Joshua was that everywhere he walked, he would possess because God had promised it to him. God has not changed, whatever God has promised you He will provide for you. Our job is just to keep walking and no matter what the odds look like, to keep believing that God will provide the victory. May we hold on to the promises of God is my prayer.
