Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

What a comforting thought; while Satan is trying to kill, to steal, and to destroy everything that’s right and holy, God is greeting us with new mercies. Not just satan, but the world itself would devour us, and our own flesh would overtake us, if it wasn’t for the mercies of the Lord. Each morning we awake to new mercies, custom made for our situation, prepared by our Heavenly Father just for us. These mercies are what allow us to live and grow and become everything God has prepared for us to be. Without His mercies we would succumb to the attacks of the enemy. We would be so overrun by the world, the flesh, and the devil that we would not be able to function. It’s by the mercies of God that we are able to escape despair, overcome the flesh, and defeat the enemy. Thank you God for new mercies this morning! May we all be surrounded by the mercies of the Lord is my prayer.
