Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

One of the unexpected benefits of salvation for me was when I laid my head on my pillow at night and realized that I had peace. What I really found out was that the things that really matter in life are not always the things we strive so hard for. People argue and debate over so-called important theological issues while missing out on the power of being in right standing with God, simple peace, and heart felt joy. These everlasting virtues are what the kingdom of God is all about. May we all seek for the true riches of righteousness, peace, and joy is my prayer.
