James 1:22 But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

So, it‘s Monday morning and here’s the question; What did Pastor say Sunday? Think about it. Did what God said through my Pastor on Sunday translate into action in my life on Monday. If it didn’t there’s something desperately wrong with our faith. There is either one of two problems here. We either believe that our Pastor hears from God or he doesn’t. Or we just think that everything God says is for everybody else, not us. Both positions are foolish. Why listen to a Pastor that we don’t believe hears from God and seriously, do you really think your perfect. It has been my experience that most Pastors really do hear from God on a regular basis and there is one thing I’m definitely sure of, I’m not perfect. So it stands to reason that God wants me to do something. He wants us to be doers of His Word, agents of change, world changers if you will. Dr. Ed Young, speaking at the “I Stand” rally in Houston last night, challenged the Church to allow revival to begin in us. Becoming doers of the Word and not forgetful hearers only, will start the revival we need in our world so desperately. May we be doers of the Word and not hearers only is my prayer.
