Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

There seems to be some confusion in the church world over what it is to be a Christian. Let me simplify this for us. Jesus said that not everyone who says “Lord, Lord,” is going to enter heaven. In other words, not everyone who says they’re a Christian is going to heaven. The determining factor for access to heaven, according to Jesus, is that you do the will of His Father in heaven. God’s will can not be forsaken for the ways of some manmade ideology. The will of God for christian lifestyle does not change with each new generation, nor does it bend to the decisions of political persuasions. The ways of God are not amendable because His will is perfect. Society does not get to dictate to God how we are going to live, it is God who decides what is right and what is wrong. Just because a man appointed judge makes a decision it doesn’t mean that God will change His ways to fit that man’s law. God’s law is perfect and God’s people live by that law. If you want to check your God meter today just check and see if you are doing His will. May we all be found doing God’s will is my prayer.
