Acts 9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

The Apostle Paul was not always the wonderful Church planter and loving mentor we see in his writings. The beginning of his story in the Bible is one of misguided zeal and false faith. On the road to Damascus God visited Saul in a mighty way and let him know that he had to change. Life is all about choices and our willingness to change and Saul’s opportunity to become something usable for God depended upon him obeying God and embracing the change God would bring. There are always things we could do and things we want to do, but when it comes to change with God there is one thing we must do. Obey Him! Nothing short of obedience will bring about the kind of change that only God can bring. May we all be like Saul and allow God to lead us into the change that will produce our Paul is my prayer.
