Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden God knew that he had to remove them from the garden before they partook of the fruit of the tree of life. If they ate of the tree of life in their sins they would be doomed to an eternity in hell, so God had to provide a remedy for their sins before they could partake of the fruit of the tree of life. That remedy is His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross so that our sins could be washed away. By receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior we now have access into Heaven and will spend our eternity with Him. One of the great benefits of salvation is that we will get to partake of the tree of life. The blessing of doing His commandments is that we get to eat of the fruit of the tree of life. May we all be doers of His commandments and  live in such a way that will bring glory to His name is my prayer.
