Proverbs 19:3 The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the Lord.

I’ve always said that when God creates a human being He puts a hole inside our heart that can only be filled by Him. A longing, if you will, to be in fellowship with our Creator. Where we get in trouble is when we pursue worldly things to try and fulfill this aching within our soul. The Bible calls these pursuits foolishness because there is nothing that can remotely come close to fulfilling the emptiness inside our heart but God. The question begs to be asked, why don’t we just go after God instead? He is the answer you are looking for, the satisfaction you crave, and the fulfillment that is missing in your life. Reach up to Him today and pursue Him with all your heart and He will straiten your path and sooth your heart. May we go after God with everything within us is my prayer.
