A Word of Faith

Join us LIVE - Sunday's at 10:30 AM

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. (1 Kings 17:1 KJV)
Standing in front of the ruthless, ungodly King Ahab, Elijah leaps onto the pages of the Bible with a powerful word of faith. To the idolatrous King who believes that Baal controls the rain, he declares by the word of the Lord that it will not rain. Not only does it not rain, but it does not rain for three years! It actually does not rain until Elijah declares to Ahab that it will, by another word of faith. When our son was a baby we found ourselves in Texas Children’s Hospital with a very sick baby and no answers from the bewildered Doctors. During a prayer time in their prayer Chapel, we received this word from the Lord, “your son is healed”. He didn’t look healed or act healed, but God said he was healed. When we acted on the word of faith by taking him home and declaring to our Church that he was healed, the healing began to manifest until he was whole. A word of faith, acted on by God’s people, becomes a powerful testimony of the awesome God we serve! May we act out our faith is my prayer.
