John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

The biggest reason many people run from God instead of to God is that they don’t want to deal with their sin. Our country can pass laws that are contrary to God’s law but no matter how many ungodly laws we pass they will never justify our sins. At some point every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In that moment, the light of His presence will illuminate our sins and we will be judged against God’s law, not man’s. We must come to the light and allow Jesus to, not only illuminate our sins, but we must allow Him to lead us out of our sins. He will free us from the darkness of sin and lead us into the light of His Gospel. “In Him is life; and His life is the light of men.” (John 1:4) May we all come to the light is my prayer.
