Psalms 62:1 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation.
Some of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made were because I didn’t wait on God. Although I know the promises of God like, “He shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory” and “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”, I still tend to get ahead of God sometimes. There’s an old saying that goes like this, “don’t get the cart before the horse”. The reason you don’t want the cart in front of the horse is that horses don’t push carts very well but they’re excellent at pulling them. God is excellent at leading the way for us but when we try to lead, things are not what they’re supposed to be. When I lead I find myself out of the will of God, falling prey to sin, and lost. When God leads I find His blessings, His salvation and eternal life. Waiting on God always pays off. May we be patient in our pursuit of God’s will is my prayer.
