Luke 5:11 And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

Peter and his friends had fished all night, and as the song goes, they caught no fishes. Here comes an out of town preacher saying just throw out your nets one more time. Never mind that your tired, frustrated, and oh, by the way did I mention that these were commercial fishermen? They knew what they were doing and the fish just weren’t there. But here’s the deal, Jesus had just used their boat as a platform for preaching and He was going to repay them for it’s use and their time. So when they threw out their nets they were so full of fish that two boats could barely haul them in. More than enough to pay for boat useage and their time, it was probably worth more money than they would have made in months. This miracle was enough proof to these fishermen of Jesus power that they forsook all and followed Him. May we all believe in Christ enough to forsake all and follow Him.
