But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 KJV)
We are a funny generation. We go to a fast food restaurant, because we don’t have time to cook. We pull in the drive thru to speed up the process. We choose the restaurant with the shortest wait time, and then we gripe because the quality of the food is not very good. There’s an old saying that goes something like this, “if it’s worth having, it’s worth waiting for”. A 2 minute Big Mac doesn’t even compare to a homemade burger fresh off the grill. A simple key to finding real peace and joy in life is to learn to wait on God. God always has our best interest in mind and He has a plan for every area of our life as well, we just have to trust His timing. A little patience goes a long way when it comes to the things that really matter. May we learn the value of waiting on God is my prayer.
