Genesis 3:8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
From the beginning of time we get the story of the fall of man. Who could even imagine that out of the perfect garden of Eden a man and a woman would fall prey to sin? But that’s what happened, the devil dangled a little fruit in front of them and they were hooked. Of course, Adam and Eve had no idea of the ramifications of their actions but soon found out the problem with disobeying God. You see, God hates sin and wants nothing to do with it. Sin is what caused Jesus to have to die on the cross and when mankind sins God sees the death of His Son. He sees the agony of the whipping post and the shame of the cross. He sees the destruction sin brings to families, society, and to the individual involved. He grieves over our ignorance and hurts over the destruction He sees coming. And the biggest problem with sin is that it separated man from God. From the beginning, God has done everything He can to convince us that He has our best interest at heart and that sin will rob us of God’s best. May we all learn to hate sin like God does and learn how to please God like Jesus did is my prayer.
