Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

It’s such a miserable feeling to set a goal and come up just a little bit short of it. The Houston Texans came one game short of making the playoffs this year and have to think about that this whole off season. Every time they go to the gym and every weight they lift I’m sure they will remind themselves how close they came to reaching their goal. I’m afraid that many so called Christians are coming up short of where God really wants them. They’ve read the Bible, they go to church, and they play the religious game but they have never really entered into the rest that God has for them. God wants us to go all the way through to a personal relationship with Him. He has so many promises, so many blessings, and so much He wants to impart to us if we would just go all the way with Him. It’s time to sell out to God, go all in with Jesus, and give ourselves to the Lordship of Christ. May we all go all the way with God and never come up short of even one of His promises is my prayer.
