Proverbs 12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.
There is something really powerful that happens when we couple good words with hard work. I know on a Monday morning work may not be what you want to talk about, but it is inevitable if we want to eat. Many times we counteract our hard work with negative words that tend to destroy our efforts. The Psalmist saw great value in speaking words of edification as an extension of his faith. These words of faith are like water to flowers as we speak them over our work. Our words can actually enhance the work of our hands. Let’s hit the ground running this morning and speak good things over our work, our coworkers and our customers. May God bless everything we put our hands to is my prayer.
