Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

There’s only one reason anyone would have to be worried about their house being broken up at the coming of the Lord. They weren’t ready! When Jesus said, “he would have watched”, what he was telling us is you must be ready. The coming of the Lord is glorious to those who are ready but for those who are not it will be devastating. When Christ appears there will be no time for preparation or repentance, it will happen in a moment and only the prepared will take part in the rapture. To be ready we must be following Christ, that’s all it takes. Repent of your sins (turn away from sin), and follow Christ. Read and study the Bible so that you will know the signs of the times. Pray so that you will learn to hear the voice of the Lord and know what He is saying to the Church. Fellowship with believers so that you can be strengthened by their faith. And share your faith with those who do not know Christ so they may be ready for His coming. May we all be found watching when Christ comes is my prayer.
