Mark 9:23,24 Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. (24) And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
In a generation that has been raised with lying politicians, altered history books, and the crooks on Wall st., I’m finding that many people today just don’t believe anything until they see it. Even those who have been raised in Church are struggling with their faith and how to live it out. Doubt seems to be prevalent and skepticism is at an all time high. Even devoted Christians struggle at times to find the way of faith and many of us are like this father who certainly believed in and loved God but in his time of struggle began to doubt. Like this hurting father it’s time for us to cry out to God for increased faith. His prayer should be our prayer, “Lord, I believe, but help my unbelief”. It’s just a simple fact about our humanity, we tend to be weak and we need God’s help to be strong. Don’t let the devil beat you down because of doubt. Cry out to God for more faith and put the devil on the run. May we all find more faith with the Help of our Heavenly Father is my prayer.
Keeping it Real!
