Matthew 14;28, 29 And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. (29) And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

When the storms of life come crashing in on our lives it is so easy to become isolated, afraid, and paralyzed. The disciples found themselves on the sea in the middle of a storm when Jesus came walking to them on the waves. Great fear was upon them but in the middle of the chaos Peter asked Jesus to call him out on the water. Of course Jesus invites Peter out of the boat and Peter takes one of the most famous steps of faith in the history of mankind and walks on water to Jesus. All of the disciples had the opportunity to do what Peter did but only Peter walked on water. If you are isolated, fearful, and paralyzed today, let me encourage you to just take a step. One step of faith may be all it takes to get you on top of the storm. One step of faith may be all you need to defeat your addiction or overcome the torment that has reeked havoc over your life. Just one small step may be all it takes to liberate you from the bondage you find yourself in. Just take a step. May we all step toward Jesus and the freedom He has for us is my prayer.
