Proverbs 11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Do you remember the old Looney Toons cartoon where the devil was sitting on one shoulder and the angel was sitting on the other shoulder? The character in the middle was caught between doing what was right or doing what was wrong. The funny thing about it was that he always knew what was right he was just being pulled in the wrong direction. That’s really the way life is, we know what’s right we just play around with what’s wrong. The lust of sin, the opportunity for new found pleasure, and the fact that others seem to be enjoying something we’re not pulls us toward what’s wrong. In those times of temptation we must allow our integrity to guide us. We know what’s right and we must realize that if God says it’s wrong, He has said it’s wrong because it is destructive. Sin will destroy us and right will always guide us. May we follow after righteousness is my prayer.
