Joshua 14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain whereof the Lord spake in that day for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.
A couple of days ago I brought home a tote full of clothes that had been in storage. I had no idea what a challenge that tote would become to my 14 month old grandson. It became his challenge in life to climb on top of that tote. Every time he could sneak away to it, we would find him grunting and groaning and trying to pull himself on top of that tote. Of course, we all tried our best to discourage him but finally in a moment when we weren’t looking he accomplished his goal and to our amazement we found him sitting contently on top of it as if he had conquered Mt. Everest. It took Caleb 45 years to finally conquer Hebron, but he did it! If the mountain in front of you seems insurmountable, I want to encourage you to never give up. Just say like Caleb, “if so be the Lord will be with me” then I can take this mountain. Remember, you and God are always a majority and with His help you can do anything. May God help us to conquer our mountains is my prayer.
