Plant Something Good

Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Traveling across west Texas when there are thousands of acres laying dormant seems like such a waste. Those fields look so much better when they’re green and lush with corn but I do understand the reason why those fields have to have dormant time. Giving the ground time to rest allows them to rejuvenate and get ready for a productive growth season. If your spiritual life has been laying dormant for a while it might be time to till up your fallow ground and plant some good seed in your life again. If we lay dormant too long weeds will take over the place where something good should be growing. The only way we can have good growth is to plant the seed of the Word of God in our hearts and allow it to take root. When we do, God will produce a harvest of righteousness. May we prepare ourselves for the outpouring of God’s Spirit is my prayer.

Keeping it Real!
