Praise Him Everywhere

Psalms 66:8, 9 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of His praise to be heard: (9) Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

We’re pretty good at praising God in church or when we’re alone, but how are we at praising God in front of the world. The lost don’t listen to Christian radio, they don’t attend church services, and they don’t watch Christian TV. The only way they know anything about God, and how awesome He is, is when God’s children praise His name before them. The cashier at the gas station needs to hear you give God praise. The waitress at the restaurant needs to hear you give God praise. And that person you’ve worked with for years will never know you’re a christian unless you praise God in front of them. Praise should naturally flow off our lips because it is God that has saved our soul and it’s God who continually protects us and provides for us. I’m not talking about those religious phrases that some people repetitiously throw around. I’m talking about a ready testimony that rolls off our tongue at the drop of a hat as naturally as every other part of our conversations. A genuine praise will touch the heart of the hearer and move them to want to know the God we’re praising. May the earth be filled with the praises of God’s people as we give glory to the One who saved our souls is my prayer.

Keeping it Real!
