Proverbs 31:25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer.

I love the proverbs because God takes the simplest of things to teach us wisdom. Take the ants for instance; they may be little and insignificant but God uses them to teach us the importance of being prepared. Do you know that God has given us multiple directions in the Bible for planning our future. He teaches us to invest our money (Luke 19:23) so that our finances might increase, He teaches us to sow seed (Mark 4:20) so that we might reap a harvest, and He teaches us how to treat others (Matthew 7:12) so that He might be glorified in our lives. That’s just a small list of the things God teaches us in His Word about planning. What I want to encourage in today is to prepare for your future, especially your eternal future. Make Jesus the center of all of your life, follow Him explicitly, and make Him the first priority in your life. May we all be prepared to meet Jesus in eternity is my prayer.

Keeping it Real!
