Galatians 3:13, 14 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (14) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Growing up, one of my favorite memories was our trips to the S & H Green Stamp redemption center. My Mom would save the stamps she received when she bought groceries and when she saved up enough we would go to the redemption center and redeem them. That redemption center was awesome. Bicycles hanging from the ceiling, Hotwheels tracks on the shelves, and Radio Flyer wagons on the risers made that place a little boys dream. Of course, we never brought home any of those things. Those trips were all about Tupperware, dishes, and small appliances. That place was a real blessing to our family when we didn’t have much money. The idea of redemption is that the item is already paid for and all you have to do is cash in the redemption. That’s what Jesus has done for the whole world. He has paid the price for our salvation and all we have to do is give Him the redemption stamp, our lives. May we all experience the blessing of eternal life through Christ is my prayer.
