Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Living in south Texas can be a little confusing when it comes to seasons. We really only have two seasons here, hot and cool. Last week I decided that winter was probably over in early February and then we had another blast of cold this week and it’s winter again. There’s one thing you can count on around here and that’s a change in the weather. Life is kind of like living in south Texas. Things change some times in the most unexpected ways. A routine checkup at the doctor produces a bad report, the new car that’s been so reliable stops running unexpectedly, or your long time friend betrays you. That’s life, but it is true that 10% of life is what happens to you and 90% of life is your attitude. To keep your attitude right learn how to embrace the changes of life instead of fighting them. Put them in the perspective they belong in. They’re just a season and seasons pass, Spring is coming! The cold rain storms will end and the sun will shine again. May we keep our attitudes right as we traverse the changes of life is my prayer.
