Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

How simple could it be? If you want to live eternally in heaven with Jesus, all you have to do is sell your stuff, give the proceeds to the poor, and follow Christ. Simple, but oh how we complicate it when we start throwing out all the reasons we can’t follow Christ. After all, we have a family to provide for, we have a job that demands much of us, and we certainly have to have our time of rest. It’s amazing how soon we forget the words of Jesus, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”. Let me simplify this for you; put Jesus first in you life, follow Him, and He will lead you into all of the provision you need. He really does provide for His people when they put their trust in Him. May we simply follow Christ is my prayer.
