Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

I just love how the Bible has me all figured out. This Scripture describes one of my biggest struggles perfectly. I’ve been guilty many times of boasting about what I’m going to do in the future instead of focusing on the task at hand. The reason God has given us His Word is to reprove us, make us more like Him, and to guide us through the maze that is life. As you head into another day try focusing on what is in front of  you. Don’t boast about what you’re going to achieve years from now; pay the price today in small meaningful ways and tomorrow will take care of itself. Everything the Holy Spirit guides us into is for a reason and He who holds tomorrow will use our obedience to build our future. May we be found being about the Master’s business is my prayer.
