Did the devil really think that Jesus could be held back by mortar and stone? Maybe he thought that Jesus would react like other Christians and just give up when the odds were stacked against Him. Let’s see, He was dead, He was buried, the tomb was stoned shut, and the guards were in place. The last piece of the puzzle that the devil always hopes we will forget however, is what I’m going to call “the God factor”. No matter how difficult the situation or how much is against us, God is always able to deliver us! He not only can deliver us, but He will deliver us, if we will just call out to Him.
