Psalms 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

There is a war waging for control of our heart. On the one hand we have the desires of the flesh pulling us toward everything that appeals to the flesh and on the other hand we have the Spirit leading us to the things of God. Our role in this continuous battle is to direct our heart in the right direction. To assure that we follow after the Spirit and not the flesh we must develop an appetite in our heart for the things of the Spirit. The best way to do that is to feed our heart godly things. The Word of God is the best thing to put into our heart but we can also feed it inspirational music, good uplifting conversation, and the testimonies of victorious Christians. Life is really a matter of the heart and for us to be victorious Christians we must make our heart matter. May we fill our heart with the things of God so that it will overflow with love, joy, and peace is my prayer.
