1John 3:24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.

It’s always an amazing thing to me when I catch myself doing something good that’s against my nature. You know, like biting my tongue when I would say something not so nice or speaking a kind word when my patience is wearing thin. These are the moments when I know that God is working in me. He’s putting His nature in me and cleansing me of the old man of sin. Paul says, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Cor. 5:17) If we will be diligent about prayer, reading and studying God’s Word, and fellowshipping with other believers God will continue to mold us in His image. The things that once controlled our lives will be replaced by the Spirit of Christ. May we all press closer to Jesus than ever before as we see the day of His appearing draw nearer is my prayer.
