1 Chronicles 19:2

Then David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun the son Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me.”

A friend recently said something to my wife and I that has stuck with us ever since. She said, “it only takes a moment to show someone kindness.”  It’s so important that we show forth the virtues of Christ to the world without expecting anything in return. When David showed kindness to Hanun he repaid him with a humiliating offense to him and his men.  Our acts of kindness must be done with a pure motive without concern for how others may react.  May we show forth the virtues of Christ in all we do is my prayer.
