1 Chronicles 21:8
Then David prayed, “I have sinned badly in what I have just done, substituting statistics for trust; forgive my sin-I’ve been really stupid.”
It is stupid, isn’t it, when we put our trust in things instead of God? In the days of credit cards, health insurance, fast food, and an abundance of employment opportunities it has become ever so easy to trust in the wrong things. David was misguided to think that his might could be verified by how many people he had accumulated and we are just as wrong to think that because or our accumulation of things that somehow that makes us strong. As Christians, we are supposed to put our trust in God, He is our source and strength. Nothing and nobody can make us as strong and successful as God can. May we put our trust in God alone is my prayer.
