1 Chronicles 10:13, 14 (The Message)

Saul died in disobedience, disobedient to God. He didn’t obey God’s words. Instead of praying, he went to a witch to seek guidance. Because he didn’t go to God for help, God took his life and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.

Not the best way to die, disobedient to God. God is our heavenly Father and as such He expects us to communicate with Him about our needs. Petitioning God shows Him that we trust Him and have put our faith in Him. His answers to our prayers glorifies Him and lifts Him up in front of the world. So you might say that every need we have is just another opportunity for God to be glorified. Why would we go to anyone else? May we live our lives trusting God is my prayer.
