1 Kings 4:5

 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:

Even a King needs a friend, that’s the way God made us. Living life alone is impossible, we need each other. When the road of life gets hard and it seems like everything is going against us friends pick each other up. They carry one another through the storms of life with words of encouragement and inspiration. They are rocks of stability when the sands are shifting under our feet and they are still standing by us when everyone else has left us. May we be a friend to someone who needs us is my prayer.
