1 Samuel 30:6 

Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

When David had one of those days like Job where he had lost his wives, his children and his stuff, the way he made it through was to strengthen himself in the Lord. Sometimes life hits us with more than we think we can bare and God is all we have left. It’s at those times that we find God is all we need. We can strengthen ourselves in Him by thinking on His Word, reminding ourselves of His promises, and talking to Him. When we turn to Him, He will strengthen us and carry us through even the darkest of valleys. May we strengthen ourselves in God is my prayer.
